As a winner of numerous national and international competitions - recently the 1st Prize at NYCA (New York Concert Artists) 2023, as well as the Gold Award at the 7th NTD International Piano Competition) - Robert Neumann (born 2001) was awarded with the International Classic Music Discovery Award 2017 and an OPUS KLASSIK in 2021. He was described as "an exceptional gift" and "one of the most promising piano talents".
Robert was chosen as “SWR2 New Talent”, presented within fellowship programs of the Mozart Society Dortmund and the Nikolaisaal Potsdam, received the Swiss Charity Award and was appointed laureate of the Freiburg Concert Hall.
SWRmusic/Naxos released two solo albums of his, the Deutsche Grammophon launched a portrait and a studio concert, besides some digital-only singles.

The young pianist made his orchestral debut with the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra at the age of eight. Since then he has appeared with many other orchestras, including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, German State Philharmonic Orchestras Ludwigshafen and Frankfurt, Stuttgart Philharmonic, Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, SWR Symphonieorchestra, Praga Philharmonic Camerata, National Philharmonic Chișinău and the Gewandhaus Orchestra.
Robert was a guest at the Festival "Moscow meets Friends" 2013, Festival of Bad Kissingen (Kissinger Sommer), Schwetzingen Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, Schleswig-Holstein-Festival, Mosel Festival, Lucerne Festival, Interlaken Classics Bern, SOLsberg Hochrhein Musikfestival and Classical Bridge Festival NY.
Robert has also performed at the Tonhalle Zurich, Herkulessaal Munich, Bregenz Festival Hall, Salle Cortot Paris, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Victoria Concert Hall Singapore, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Moscow International Performing Arts Center and Lincoln Center and Kaufman Center in NY.

Versatile as a chamber musician he has played with musicians such as Daniel Müller-Schott, Julia Fischer, Olli Mustonen and Sebastian Manz.
Robert Neumann regularly initiates and draws special projects.
At the age of 17 he was artist in residence at the festival Next Generation in Bad Ragaz/Switzerland.
In 2020 he conceived a Beethoven program together with Tanja Tetzlaff, Dominik Wollenweber, Sebastian Manz, Guilhaume Santana and Stefan Dohr and performed it across Germany.
On 09.05.22 on Europe Day all ARD stations broadcasted a European Concert which Robert initiated and performed live in the SWR Studios together with Ukrainian violinist Alexey Semenenko and Russian cellist Alexey Stadler. A sequel concert took place in 2023.
He is also founder of the piano festival Cannstatter Klavierfrühling in Stuttgart, which took place for the first time in 2024 and presents mainly international pianists and composers of the new generation.
Roberts compositions were recently premiered among others by Julia Fischer, Benjamin Nyffenegger and Alexey Stadler.
He grew up in a multilingual family of musicians and since the age of four taught by Monika Giurgiuman at the Stuttgart Music School. Aged eleven Robert has been accepted as a junior student to the class of Prof. Elza Kolodin at the Freiburg Music Conservatory. Robert started on his BA at the age of 15.
For his masters, he joined Eldar Nebolsin at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik Berlin in 2021 and continued studying with him his concert degree in 2024.
